Durante le giornate del Cruise Shipping di Miami 2015, lo stand dell’Autorità Portuale di Salerno è stato al centro dell’interesse dei più importanti operatori del settore e di decine di migliaia di visitatori, che hanno potuto ammirare le immagini delle numerose bellezze di Salerno e della Provincia. A ruba i gadget in ceramica, uno dei simboli delle eccellenze del nostro territorio, donate ai più importanti visitatori, anche per promuovere un settore tra i più importanti della nostra produzione artistica. L’interesse mostrato alla manifestazione è la conferma dello straordinario successo del Porto di Salerno nel settore crocieristico. “Con la stagione crocieristica 2015 inauguriamo il nuovo Polo crocieristico al Molo Manfredi” – ha dichiarato il Presidente dell’Autorità Portuale di Salerno Andrea Annunziata – dando così inizio ad una nuova era. ”Potremo accogliere molte altre compagnie, raddoppiare gli approdi e raggiungere nel breve periodo il mezzo milione di crocieristi” – continua Annunziata. La presenza alla fiera è stata un’importante opportunità per presentare i nostri servizi ai colossi della navigazione crocieristica. “Importanti gruppi internazionali del settore – ha affermato Annunziata – sono sempre più interessati ad approdare nel nostro Scalo.” E’ stata l’occasione per presentare al Console Generale Italiano a Miami Adolfo Barattolo e agli imprenditori italoamericani che lo accompagnavano, oltre l’offerta turistica per le bellezze naturali e la storia straordinaria della città di Salerno e di tutta la Provincia, anche le altre eccellenze del nostro territorio nel settore agroalimentare e dell’artigianato. Il Porto di Salerno è stabilmente inserito nella fascia tra i 100mila e i 500mila crocieristi e dal 2013 continua la scalata della classifica dei Porti italiani coinvolti nel settore crociere, già ad essere inseriti tra i dieci Porti nazionali. “Nel 2015 per il Porto di Salerno si prevede un’ulteriore crescita, e con il nuovo Polo crocieristico al Molo Manfredi siamo pronti per sfruttare al meglio questo trend positivo”, afferma il Presidente Annunziata.

Once fully operational with the new infrastructure, including the further extension of the Molo Manfredi, who in 2016 will reach about 1,000 m long, we count immediately to dramatically increase the number of cruise passengers”, says Annunziata.
