Ritorna ad aprile 2026 il Mediterranean Cooking Congress, l’evento itinerante sulle coste del Mediterraneo creato dalla società By Tourist, con l’obiettivo di informare, promuovere e tutelare le risorse primarie ambientali delle coste del Mediterraneo. Focus dell’edizione 2026 saranno acqua e agrumi. Stabia e la Penisola Sorrentina saranno le grandi protagoniste. Location dell’evento saranno infatti lo Stabia Main Port e il centro storico di Castellammare di Stabia, con le sue 28 sorgenti, con press tour e fam trip, che vedranno gli ospiti internazionali visitare e degustare, da mare a terra, le bellezze ambientali e i sapori della fascia di costa, da Castellammare di Stabia a Massa Lubrense.
Pasta Tasting, wine and lemon tour, carciofo di Schito, orti e biscotti, cooking class, chef di bordo di navi da diporto internazionali, degustazioni guidate con le acque di Castellammare di Stabia con i sommelier dell’acqua, itinerari via mare all’area marina protetta di Punta Campanella, cuochi rinomati della fascia di costa campana, produttori ed esperti del mondo del gusto e del turismo gastronomico e marittimo, agenzie turistiche e charter brokers internazionali. Saranno questi gli ingredienti della settima edizione del Mediterranean Cooking Congress.
“Il nostro viaggio sulle coste del Mediterraneo era fermo dal 2020, prima per il Covid poi per le problematiche belliche che stanno colpendo dal 2022 il basso Mediterraneo – illustra Pino Sangiovanni, socio fondatore della By Tourist srl – attendere l’evolversi delle politiche internazionali purtroppo sta risultando una scelta vana; abbiamo dunque deciso di riprendere il viaggio, partendo dalla nostra isola felice: la Campania. Da qui la scelta di far partire la navigazione da un porto internazionale unico nel Mediterraneo, cioè lo Stabia Main Port di Castellammare di Stabia, approdo turistico per mega e giga yacht fino a 180 metri. Lo Stabia Main Port è diventato in pochi anni un importante polmone economico, per la fascia di costa, e sta garantendo un importante incoming di lusso all’intera area vesuviana e sorrentina, con grande riscontro per l’indotto e il commercio, anche dei comuni montani e pedemontani – continua Sangiovanni – Una realtà imprenditoriale porta di ingresso al Borgo Antico e situata in pieno centro a Castellammare di Stabia; luogo da secoli identificato come città delle acque, vista la presenza di 28 sorgenti. Risorsa primaria, che alimenta mare e terra, da Stabia alla Penisola Sorrentina. Seguendo i percorsi d’acqua dunque racconteremo, visiteremo e degusteremo il territorio, navigando da Castellammare di Stabia a Massa Lubrense”.
La settima edizione del Mediterranean Cooking Congress avrà una settimana di appuntamenti, dal 20 al 26 aprile 2026, da Stabia Main Port a Massa Lubrense.
Mediterranean Cooking Congress at Stabia Main Port
The Mediterranean Cooking Congress, the traveling event along the Mediterranean coasts created by the By Tourist company, returns in April 2026, with the aim of informing, promoting, and protecting the primary environmental resources of the Mediterranean coasts. The focus of the 2026 edition will be water and citrus fruits. Stabia and the Sorrento Peninsula will be the main protagonists. The event locations will be the Stabia Main Port and the historic center of Castellammare di Stabia, with its 28 springs, featuring press tours and fam trips that will see international guests visit and taste, from sea to land, the environmental beauties and flavors of the coastal strip, from Castellammare di Stabia to Massa Lubrense. Pasta Tasting, wine and lemon tours, the Schito artichoke, vegetable gardens and biscuits, cooking classes, chefs from international pleasure crafts, guided tastings with the waters of Castellammare di Stabia led by water sommeliers, sea itineraries to the Punta Campanella marine protected area, renowned chefs from the Campanian coast, producers and experts from the world of taste and gastronomic and maritime tourism, tourist agencies, and international charter brokers. These will be the ingredients of the seventh edition of the Mediterranean Cooking Congress.
“Our journey along the Mediterranean coasts has been on hold since 2020, first due to Covid and then due to the war-related issues affecting the lower Mediterranean since 2022,” explains Pino Sangiovanni, founding partner of By Tourist srl. “Unfortunately, waiting for the evolution of international policies is proving to be a futile choice; we have therefore decided to resume the journey, starting from our happy island: Campania. Hence the choice to start the navigation from a unique international port in the Mediterranean, the Stabia Main Port of Castellammare di Stabia, a tourist landing for mega and giga yachts up to 180 meters. In just a few years, Stabia Main Port has become an important economic engine for the coastal strip, and is ensuring a significant influx of luxury tourism to the entire Vesuvian and Sorrento area, with great benefits for the related industries and commerce, including for the mountain and foothill municipalities,” continues

Following the water routes, we will therefore narrate, visit, and taste the territory, sailing from Castellammare di Stabia to Massa Lubrense.”
The seventh edition of the Mediterranean Cooking Congress will feature a week of events, from April 20th to 26th, 2026, from Stabia Main Port to Massa Lubrense.
