22 thousand visitors for the nautic international event
Over 22 thousand visitors (+ 25% compared to the 2017 edition), 59% coming from European countries (in particular from France, Germany, England, Netherlands and Switzerland) and 41% from non-EU countries (with a strong presence of visitors from Russia, United States and United Arab Emirates), including 9,516 trade visitors. These are the numbers of the second edition of the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous, the international event dedicated to high-end sailing, which took place in Viareggio last 10 to 13 May.
For four days a great party in the heart of the nautical district of Viareggio which has been able to attract visitors from all over the world. The Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous, strongly supported by Nautica Italiana, was organized by Fiera Milano in collaboration with the boating and ports technological district in Tuscany, with the support of the Tuscany Region and the Municipality of Viareggio, with the intent to involve the entire sector and national and international sector associations. The Versilia territory had a great welcoming role, with its Municipalities of Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi, which were the setting for the events that animated the exhibition days.
Along the Viareggio docks, there were about a hundred beautiful boats, the highest expression of nautical excellence in the world and of the design and construction capacity of the Italian shipbuilding industry. Ashore there were 170 exhibiting companies, including construction sites, accessories companies, marinas and companies dealing with components of the production chain and services of excellence linked to the sector.
“We are very satisfied with this second edition of the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous” says Lamberto Tacoli, chairman of Nautica Italiana. “It was a success in terms of visitors and businesses. The widespread feeling among all the participating companies was that of a growing trust in the project and in its potential future developments. The organized conferences are very interesting: the Market Monitor research, developed together with Deloitte, the Legal Conference and the Design Conference achieving, again this year, to have gathered in Viareggio some of the greatest exponents of world design. Thanks to the participating companies, to our partner Fiera Milano and to the local institutions “.
