Dopo cinque anni, la regata dei Tre Golfi istituita dal Conte Matarazzo affiancata da Ferrarelle, torna a posarsi sull’isola di Tiberio, grazie alla collaborazione con lo Yacht Club Capri, con cui, già in precedenti edizioni, il Circolo Italia di Napoli ha avuto un ottimo affiatamento. “Sulla scia di questa rinnovata intesa auspichiamo di crescere ancora insieme, in futuro, offrendo ai regatanti non solo delle belle giornate di sport e vela ed un elevato livello tecnico delle regate in una cornice incomparabile bellezza, ma anche una giusta accoglienza da parte dei commercianti e delle strutture locali ai tanti armatori ed equipaggi che ci auguriamo torneranno con piacere a Capri”, ha commentato il Presidente del Circolo Italia, Roberto Mottola di Amato, il cui mandato è stato rinnovato proprio lo scorso 12 marzo. Ad accompagnarlo alla Vice Presidenza, anche per il prossimo biennio, sia Maurizio Pavesi, che Picchio Milone, amico e timoniere di tanti successi.
“Abbiamo raggiunto un importante obiettivo”, commenta Marino Lembo, Presidente dello Yacht Club Capri, “riportare la prestigiosa Regata dei Tre Golfi a Capri che così vede rinascere un’importante sinergia tra lo Yacht Club di Capri ed il Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia. Quest’evento – conclude – avrà una grande ricaduta sotto il profilo dell’economia locale, andandosi a collocare agli inizi della stagione turistica del 2015”.

Il percorso per la conquista dei challenge perpetui sarà quello della prima edizione del 1954: da Napoli si raggiungerà l’isoladi Ponza, per ritornare costeggiando Capri, periplo de gli isolotti de Li Galli, di fronte Positano e arrivo alla Marina Grande di Capri. Al primo classificato overall ORC, sarà assegnata la Coppa Senatore Matarazzo; la Coppa Gustavo d’Andrea, sarà consegnata al primo in tempo reale e la Coppa Mariano Verusio al primo classificato Overall IRC. I partecipanti resteranno affascinati dallo spettacolo naturale offerto dalla costa e dai suoi colori, senza trascurare l’aspetto tecnico legato ai continui cambi di vento dovuti alla particolare orografia della costa.

L’arrivo a Capri dopo circa 175 miglia consentirà non solo di apprezzare la bellezza dell’isola, ma anche di riposarsi in attesa di riprendere con le regate sulle boe dal 15 al 17 maggio proprio in acque capresi per la tradizionale Settimana dei Tre Golfi -Campionato Nazionale del Tirreno. Le prove sulle boe saranno valide ai fini del circuito Nazionale della Classe X-41.
