“Bodrum Cup is a beautiful race – Michele Alfredo Paese, shipowner of Santa Lucia, says – and i can’t wait to take part in it. These are spacious, big boats but heavy and hard to drive as well as sometimes, during the race, they could be agile. We will practice both for moving to Bodrum and for setting up the best crew including local experienced sailors for this kind of race as well as “Mustafà Kemal” who knows everything about the routes by heart. We will be proud to carry the Italian flag to Bodrum and sail headed by Boating Club Riva di Traiano”.
“We are too happy to carry on our name in Turkey – Alessandro Farassino, The President of the Boating Club Riva di Traiano, says – and we would like to host a similar regatta in Riva di Traiano, a spring. This is a different sail we always move but absolutely charming. We have nothing to say unless as they say in nautical activities, “Buon Vento” or as the English are popularly used to say, “Break a Leg!”. We are waiting for their coming back”.
On board the boat, there will be the shipowner Michele Alfredo Paese, the Captain Felice Calabrese, the Captain Giorgio Papini ( tactical ), Gianni Lombardi ( mainsail ), Stefano Gregni ( taylor ), Mauro Astore ( taylor ), Francesco Esposito ( bowman ), Mustafà Kemal ( bowman ), Letizia Gregni ( rigging ), Paola Gregni ( rigging ).
The first step is going to bring the gulets from Bodrum to Gumulsuk, in Bodrum Peninsula.
