About 150 professionals and cadets at the 11th edition of the yearly meeting of d’Amico Group

Leading company in shipping sector, d’Amico Group organised the yearly meeting in Gaeta who last time let professionals and students take part in it as well as sales representatives of Chevron Shell and Coast Guard

Leading company in marin transport, D’Amico Group organised the 11th edition of the yearly meeting in Gaeta, at the Palace of Culture of “Fondazione G.Caboto” where about 150 people such as officials and ground crew are going to take parte in it.

The meeting is organised annually in order to increase knowledge about shipping sector and business activities. For the first time, this year will take part in the event Captains, Chief Engineers Officer, young officers and cadets who are studying new advanced techniques thanks to the “Fondazione G.Caboto”. Their meeting with ground crew ( from offices in Rome, Genoa, Montecarlo, London, Dublin, Stamford and Singapore) is a great opportunity to share and increase the culture and their sense of belonging to companies.

For three days work international experts in the field of shipping had been alternating with managers of the companies in order to talk about “Compliance” for national and international rules that aims to regulate maritime sector.

During the meeting an officer of the Italian Coas Guard showed the newest international rules throughout the Port State Control inspection scheme. A sales representative of Chevron showed the Oil Major’s requirements in the tanker sector. He talked about the new inspection rules of “vetting” in order to verify appropriate shipments of cargo of boats and companies. Special attention shall be placed on the MARPOL international rules about marine pollution and USA environmental rules thanks to the contribution of expert american lawyers. Furthermore, some sales representatives of Shell talked about technical aspects involving the company managers.
